I remember when this came out, it's so funny and actually very true. With the poor condition of our economy, gay marriages would only help. Though marriage licenses are not that expensive, the sheer number of gay couples would generate a huge profit for the state. Also, in the private sector, gay divorces would require the hiring of lawyers which further boosts the economy. Maybe conservatives should have considered this before opposing prop 8.
After attending college for two and a half years in sunny So-Cal, Jacquie is trading in palm trees for cherry trees and the LA malls for the National Mall. A double major in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science, Jacquie plans to pursue a career in political reporting. She hopes that spending a semester living, working, and studying in DC will not cause her to reconsider this ambition.
